Dear All,
Thank you very much for your active participation!
With the release of 2024.49.0, you can now move tenants between projects within the same workspace, as well as to projects in a different workspace.
To use this feature, navigate to the Tenant page in the Admin Area and click View More for the tenant you wish to move. On the Settings page, click the Start Moving Tenant button to begin the process.
Please note that this feature is currently in beta, and we plan to add the following enhancements in the near future:
- Visibility of costs associated with the move
- Identification of policies that might be violated during the move
- Information about users in the target project who will gain access to your tenant
- Movement of multiple tenants at the same time
Additionally, please carefully review the information about the API & Terraform provider on the main page to make adjustments in case it is needed after movement.
If you have any questions or feedback, please feel free to contact us at feedback@meshcloud.io.
Best regards,
Polina

Hey Christian, thanks for posting your feature request!
I have a few questions around your request:
- Who would to the actual moving of projects, partner users or customer users?
- Why is there a need for moving projects? Did something change in the business that requires a move of ownership? I would love to know more background information.

Jelle den Burger: Hey Jelly,
here is my reply to your questions:
- I see the requirement for both. The customer should only be able to do this if he is owner of both accounts.
- It depends on our business structure. Sometimes projects has to move in case of responsibility. E.g. an IT-Projects starts with different mesh projects, one of these projects has to move from development to production and operation. Now you need a different mesh customer. Best example is our Cloud Portal.
