Building Blocks should support individual platforms, not only platform types

In the "General" tab of the BB definition you can only select platform types for the supported platforms even though the header "supported platforms" suggests, that you should be able to select individual platforms. This is at the very least misleading. We would like to be able to select the platform instead of the platform type here.

very relevant to use, as we e.g. have different entra id platforms which need differently flavoured building blocks (see support ticket https://support.meshcloud.io/support/tickets/2348)

Jelle den Burger any chance for a timeline of this ticket? its currently quite unpleasant to have various building blocks displayed for individual platforms that don't interest the user at all and fails when being booked...

Fabian Hi Fabian,
We are starting the next items on our roadmap soon which will take 6 weeks (more on that on this week's demo day). That makes this feature request sadly not fit for the short-term future.
After those 6 weeks we could look into doing this again. If this is that painful let your Customer Success representative know and they can pull some strings for you ;-)
I understand this being frustrating but sadly it is also not a quick win for us otherwise we would have done that already.

As a platform team I want to be able to define service specific for platform instances not just the platform types.
A few reasons:
- We might not have a service user or the permissions to roll out our service to other instances (e.g. other Azure platforms)
- Using the platform instance I want to enable specific use cases with dedicated building block, therefore having all building block for Azure on all Azure platforms does not fit
- I have limited generic filters to define who and where should consume my service

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback! I can understand where the confusions is coming from. Ideally you would have the option to filter on one of or all of the platforms of a specific platform type.
