Update: Access Control V2 Now Available as a Self-Service Feature Preview
Access Control V2 is now available to all customers as a self-service feature preview in meshStack v2026.8.0.
What's available now:
- Try it yourself:Like all feature previews, Individual users can opt-in via the "Try New Experience" toggle on workspace and project access control pages
- Gradual rollout:The feature will eventually become the default for all meshStacks, replacing the current access control experience by July 1st 2026. Administrators can activate this experience for all users in their meshStack from the Feature previews control in the admin area.

Update: 4-Eyes Principle Support Released in v2026.6.0
We have released approval requirement support for the new Access Management V2 experience in meshStack v2026.6.0.
What's available now:
- 4-Eyes Principle Integration:When your organization has 4EyePrinciple enabled, you are now prompted to provide a reason when adding or editing user access.
- Private Preview:This feature is currently available to customers with access to the Access Control V2 feature preview.

Access Management V2 will be made available to all customers soon as a self-service option via the "Feature Previews" section of the admin area. Check in with our customer success team or support@meshcloud.io if you need any help enabling Access Management V2 for your organization.

Update: Partner Admin Area and Project Assignment improvements
We continue to roll out the new Access Management experience in meshStack v2026.3.0.
What's available now:

The improved Access Management V2 interface is now available for managing admin workspace access.*
Project Assignment Modal:
When adding users to a workspace, a new Project Assignment Modal allows you to optionally grant them project access in a single step.Next steps and feedback

We are also currently working on enabling "4 eyes principle" support with mandatory role binding approvals for the new Access Management Experience. At this point we publish the plan for making this the default experience for all meshStacks.

Update: New Access Control Features in v2025.53.0
We have released several improvements to the new Access Control experience in meshStack v2025.53.0:
The Access Management v2 Experience is currently in private preview. We will make it available as a self-service feature preview via the admin area soon.
What's available now:

Automatic Assignment:
When creating a new project, you are automatically added with the highest-ranking role available to you.*
Edit During Creation:
You can now edit user access assignments (roles and expiration dates) directly during workspace and project creation.*
Streamlined Modal:
The "Add Users" functionality now opens in a clear modal dialog, allowing you to add multiple users and invite by email in the same flow.Jelle den Burger
